Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux, which included the work Strong to the Finish (Black Variant) by Jerkface. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,074.41), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jerkface achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homerbob Wave (Variant) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 122,237.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux durch, in der auch die Arbeit Strong to the Finish (Black Variant) von Jerkface zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.074,41) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jerkface erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homerbob Wave (Variant) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 122.237,12).
