Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jerkface achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2021. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work TMNK sold for HKD 126,000.00 (€ 13,394.31) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jerkface have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homerbob Wave (Variant) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 122,237.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jerkface erzielte im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit TMNK für HKD 126.000,00 (€ 13.394,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerkface auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Homerbob Wave (Variant) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 122.237,12).
