Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Violate Me Violet, 1978 by Jeremy Anderson was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,238.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeremy Anderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mrs. Allfours and Her Pet Pig Lying Down in the Gutter Gazing Up at the Stars, 1971, which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,497.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Violate Me Violet, 1978 von Jeremy Anderson wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.238,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
