Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Group of two sculptures, 1977-78 by Jeremy Anderson was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,097.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeremy Anderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mrs. Allfours and Her Pet Pig Lying Down in the Gutter Gazing Up at the Stars, 1971, which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,497.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Group of two sculptures, 1977-78 von Jeremy Anderson kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.097,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeremy Anderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mrs. Allfours and Her Pet Pig Lying Down in the Gutter Gazing Up at the Stars, 1971 beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.497,55) versteigert wurde.
