Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled by Jeram Patel was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,675.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeram Patel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Abstract) in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,176.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Jeram Patel wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.675,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeram Patel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract) im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.176,37).
