In the Art on paper auction, the work Portrait of painter Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann sold for DKK 7,500.00 (€ 1,006.09) - well above the upper estimate of DKK 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jens Adolf Jerichau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Susanna for det tænkte Råd” (Susanna and the Elders), c in March this year with an auction result of DKK 95,000.00 (€ 12,748.80).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jens Adolf Jerichau erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art on paper wurde die Arbeit Portrait of painter Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann für DKK 7.500,00 (€ 1.006,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von DKK 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jens Adolf Jerichau erzielen.
