Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A collection of four drawings by Jens Adolf Jerichau was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 134.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jens Adolf Jerichau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Susanna for det tænkte Råd” (Susanna and the Elders), c in March this year with an auction result of DKK 95,000.00 (€ 12,748.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A collection of four drawings von Jens Adolf Jerichau im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 134,25) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jens Adolf Jerichau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Susanna for det tænkte Råd” (Susanna and the Elders), c im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 95.000,00 (€ 12.748,80).
