Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Matrix by Jenny Saville. The price achieved of GBP 782,500.00 (€ 1,103,315.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 650,000.00 – 850,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jenny Saville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Propped in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 9,537,250.00 (€ 10,755,075.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Matrix von Jenny Saville zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 782.500,00 (€ 1.103.315,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 650.000,00 – 850.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jenny Saville auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Propped im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.537.250,00 (€ 10.755.075,69).
