Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Closed Contact # 5 by Jenny Saville for EUR 11,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenny Saville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Propped in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 9,537,250.00 (€ 10,755,075.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Closed Contact # 5 von Jenny Saville für EUR 11.875,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Sothebys in Mailand erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenny Saville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Propped im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.537.250,00 (€ 10.755.075,69).
