Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In the Garden I, 1980 by Jennifer Bartlett was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 50,775.00 (€ 47,891.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jennifer Bartlett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four A.M. in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,447.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit In the Garden I, 1980 von Jennifer Bartlett kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 50.775,00 (€ 47.891,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jennifer Bartlett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four A.M. im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.500,00 (€ 235.447,13).
