It achieved a price of USD 365,000.00 (€ 324,790.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Admittedly, works by Jehangir Sabavala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Embarkation in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,590,000.00 (€ 1,373,412.80).

Die Arbeit The White Veni von Jehangir Sabavala wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 365.000,00 (€ 324.790,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jehangir Sabavala auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Embarkation im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.590.000,00 (€ 1.373.412,80).
