Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Jehangir Sabavala was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2019. The price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,233.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jehangir Sabavala achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Embarkation in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,590,000.00 (€ 1,373,412.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude von Jehangir Sabavala kam im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.233,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jehangir Sabavala erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Embarkation im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.590.000,00 (€ 1.373.412,80).
