Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Silhouette II by Jedd Garet was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 240.00 (€ 187.90). Admittedly, works by Jedd Garet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Behind the Table in July 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,699.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Silhouette II von Jedd Garet im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 240,00 (€ 187,90) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jedd Garet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Behind the Table im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.016,00 (€ 1.699,26).
