Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Robert Ango could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Drawings at CSK auction, the work The triumph of Aurora, after Guido Reni changed hands for GBP 564.00 (€ 965.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Robert Ango achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Margaret Of Cortona Finding The Body Of Her Lover, After Marco Benefial in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
