In the Living with Design: The Collections of Walter Lees and Mr NC. auction, the work The prophet Isaiah, from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, after Michelangelo sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,705.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Robert Ango have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Margaret Of Cortona Finding The Body Of Her Lover, After Marco Benefial in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
