Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Verger Et Le Village Dominant La Rivière by Jean Puy was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 14,215.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Puy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nu Au Peignoir in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 85,956.42).
