Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Nature morte - circa 1913-1914 by Jean Metzinger. The price achieved of EUR 236,160.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Metzinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Cycliste in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,015,000.00 (€ 3,494,391.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature morte - circa 1913-1914 von Jean Metzinger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 236.160,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Metzinger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Cycliste im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.015.000,00 (€ 3.494.391,84).
