Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still Life by Jean Mary Bellette was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,904.00 (€ 5,230.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Mary Bellette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Mourners, c.1970, which sold at auction in April 2021 for AUD 17,835.00 (€ 14,825.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Jean Mary Bellette wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 5.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 5.904,00 (€ 5.230,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Mary Bellette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Mourners, c.1970 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für AUD 17.835,00 (€ 14.825,44) versteigert wurde.
