Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Visage by Jean Marais was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2006. The price achieved of EUR 740.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Marais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pour Gentil Michou À Qui Je Souhaite Le Bonheur in July 2020 with an auction result of EUR 10,400.00.

Die Arbeit Visage von Jean Marais wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 740,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Marais erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pour Gentil Michou À Qui Je Souhaite Le Bonheur im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.400,00.
