Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work No 302, Aout-Septembre, 1981 by Jean-Luc Mylayne was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,490.63). Other works by Jean-Luc Mylayne have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2017 by the work No. A1, Novembre Decembre 2006 - Janvier Fevrier Mars 2007 at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,435.83).
