In June 2005 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Lindenia: Iconographie Des Orchidées: Six Plates by Jean Jules Linden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,560.00 (€ 3,769.22), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Jules Linden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pescatorea. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.560,00 (€ 3.769,22) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Jules Linden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pescatorea.
