Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures, which included the work Couple À La Rivière by Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier. The price achieved of EUR 2,528.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Magnanimite de Lycurgue (The Magnanimity of Lycurgus) in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,050,000.00 (€ 908,933.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couple À La Rivière von Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.528,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Magnanimite de Lycurgue (The Magnanimity of Lycurgus) im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.050.000,00 (€ 908.933,52).
