Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work Study for the head of a Rabbi, bust-length, in profile, in a red robe with a jewelled clasp by Hugues Taraval. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,639.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugues Taraval achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast of Tantalus; and Phineus interrupting the wedding banquet of Perseus and Andromeda in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 94,000.00 (€ 100,771.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for the head of a Rabbi, bust-length, in profile, in a red robe with a jewelled clasp von Hugues Taraval zur Versteigerung kam.
