It achieved a price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,424.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Ferdinand Monchablon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fresnes, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 34,375.00 (€ 25,063.80).

Die Arbeit Oeuvre Xi. (Summer Landscape) von Jean Ferdinand Monchablon kam im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.424,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Ferdinand Monchablon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fresnes beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 34.375,00 (€ 25.063,80) versteigert wurde.
