Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,420.20). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Ferdinand Monchablon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fresnes, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 34,375.00 (€ 25,063.80).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.420,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Ferdinand Monchablon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fresnes beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 34.375,00 (€ 25.063,80) versteigert wurde.
