This artwork by Jean Dufy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May this year. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work La Seine au pont du Carrousel sold for USD 81,900.00 (€ 76,872.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Dufy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Dufy erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit La Seine au pont du Carrousel für USD 81.900,00 (€ 76.872,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Dufy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 250.000,00 (€ 210.119,35) versteigert wurde.
