Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jean Degottex was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 75,600.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Degottex - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ouest - 1959, which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 188,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean Degottex kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 75.600,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Degottex mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ouest - 1959 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 188.500,00 versteigert wurde.
