Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean Degottex achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December last year. In the Art contemporain auction, the work Grille collor noir I sold for EUR 176,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Degottex; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ouest - 1959 sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of EUR 188,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Degottex erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain wurde die Arbeit Grille collor noir I für EUR 176.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jean Degottex; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ouest - 1959 im Dezember 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 188.500,00.
