Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Ils Ont Fondu Une Absence Épaisse by Jean Cortot was sold in the Jean Cortot auction at Christies in Paris in February 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cortot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,100.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Ils Ont Fondu Une Absence Épaisse von Jean Cortot wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Jean Cortot bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cortot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.100,00.
