Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Iouli by Jean Cortot was auctioned at Christies in Paris in February 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cortot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Iouli von Jean Cortot kam im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cortot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.100,00.
