Sold at the lower estimate price

In February 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Jean Cortot, which included the work Pasiphae by Jean Cortot. The result of EUR 2,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cortot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,100.00.

Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis

Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Jean Cortot durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pasiphae von Jean Cortot zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cortot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.100,00.
