In December last year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans titre - 1987 by Jean-Charles Blais. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,198.00 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Charles Blais have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loin vite in May this year with an auction result of EUR 35,280.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre - 1987 von Jean-Charles Blais zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.198,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Charles Blais auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loin vite im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.280,00.
