Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Still life of a basket of flowers by a column in a landscape with a King Charles spaniel by Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer for GBP 47,562.50 (€ 53,052.35). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings Part II at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bouquet Of Flowers In A Gilded Bronze Urn On A Porphyry Base In An Architectural Setting in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 476,750.00 (€ 531,979.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still life of a basket of flowers by a column in a landscape with a King Charles spaniel von Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer für GBP 47.562,50 (€ 53.052,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Part II bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer erzielen.
