Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Napoléon Davout (1811-1853), When A Child by Jean-Baptiste Isabey was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,250.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Isabey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait D'Eustachine-Jeanne D'Osmond in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Napoléon Davout (1811-1853), When A Child von Jean-Baptiste Isabey kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.250,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Isabey erzielen.
