Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 2,268.00 (€ 2,608.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Isabey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait D'Eustachine-Jeanne D'Osmond in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.
