Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 18,900.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Greuze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hermit, Or The Distributor Of Rosaries in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,082,500.00 (€ 827,662.67).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 18.900,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Greuze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hermit, Or The Distributor Of Rosaries im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.082.500,00 (€ 827.662,67).
