The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,547.13) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste Bernadet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Fugue - Screen I) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 121,963.91).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Untitled (Fugue-Screen 1) von Jean-Baptiste Bernadet wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.547,13) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Bernadet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Fugue - Screen I) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.500,00 (€ 121.963,91).
