In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES, which included the work A young lady, in pink-embroidered green silk dress with lace underdress, blue silk stole draped around her shoulders, the badge of the Austrian Starry Cross pinned to a pink ribbon at corsage, drop pearl earrings and flowers in her upswept and powder by André Rouquet. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,737.41), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by André Rouquet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Superb Miniature of A Young Nobleman In Silver-Embroidered Scarlet Coat And Cream Waistcoat, With Purple Sash, Wearing A White Bordered Black Tricorn Hat With Black Feathers On His Curly Powdered Wig in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,640.75).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.824,00 (€ 5.737,41) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
