However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André Rouquet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Superb Miniature of A Young Nobleman In Silver-Embroidered Scarlet Coat And Cream Waistcoat, With Purple Sash, Wearing A White Bordered Black Tricorn Hat With Black Feathers On His Curly Powdered Wig, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,640.75).
