Despite a disappointment, a good price for Jean McEwen
This work of art by Jean McEwen could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Compagnon De Silence changed hands for CAD 65,750.00 (€ 51,381.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Compagnon De Silence is the most expensive artwork by Jean McEwen that we have observed at auction so far.
