The work Usuyuki by Jasper Johns was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 11,840,000.00 (€ 11,469,534.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jasper Johns have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Small False Start in November last year with an auction result of USD 55,350,000.00 (€ 53,618,134.26).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.840.000,00 (€ 11.469.534,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
