Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Janet Nathan could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Ayas changed hands for GBP 96.00 (€ 142.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00. Admittedly, works by Janet Nathan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mud Flats 2 in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,347.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Janet Nathan konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Ayas für GBP 96,00 (€ 142,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Janet Nathan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mud Flats 2 im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.347,94).
