Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Australian Nude With Shawl by Janet Cumbrae-Stewart was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. It achieved a price of AUD 54,000.00 (€ 32,290.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Janet Cumbrae-Stewart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Loving Cup, which sold at auction in May 2003 for AUD 152,750.00 (€ 84,553.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian Nude With Shawl von Janet Cumbrae-Stewart kam im August 2007 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 54.000,00 (€ 32.290,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Janet Cumbrae-Stewart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Loving Cup beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für AUD 152.750,00 (€ 84.553,86) versteigert wurde.
