Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Wrap by Jane Lee. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jane Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fetish Beige, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 133,789.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wrap von Jane Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jane Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fetish Beige beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 133.789,66) versteigert wurde.
