Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coiling Vi by Jane Lee was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,956.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jane Lee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fetish Beige in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 133,789.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Coiling Vi von Jane Lee wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.956,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jane Lee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fetish Beige im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 133.789,66).
