Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Czech camaret (Camaret) by Jan Zrzavý was worth GBP 253,250.00 (€ 280,174.05) to a buyer in June 2011. This price was achieved in the auction The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Zrzavý - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech leÍcí Hoch (Sleeping Boy), which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 542,500.00 (€ 652,826.14).

Die Arbeit Czech camaret (Camaret) von Jan Zrzavý war einem Käufer im Juni 2011 GBP 253.250,00 (€ 280.174,05) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Zrzavý mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Czech leÍcí Hoch (Sleeping Boy) beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 542.500,00 (€ 652.826,14) versteigert wurde.
