This artwork by Jan Zrzavý achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2013. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Czech leÍcí Hoch (Sleeping Boy) sold for GBP 542,500.00 (€ 652,826.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. This high result makes Czech leÍcí Hoch (Sleeping Boy) the most expensive artwork by Jan Zrzavý that we have observed at auctions so far.
