The work A little goat standing by Jan Wittenberg was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2001. It achieved a price of EUR 8,225.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Wittenberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with white rhodondendrons in a small blue vase, which sold at auction in November 2000 for NLG 46,808.00 (€ 21,928.80).

Die Arbeit A little goat standing von Jan Wittenberg kam im September 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.225,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Wittenberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with white rhodondendrons in a small blue vase beobachtet, die im November 2000 für NLG 46.808,00 (€ 21.928,80) versteigert wurde.
