Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch A Peasant Family On A Path Along A Waterway by Jan Willem van Borselen was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 26,650.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Willem van Borselen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Along the river Vlist in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 120,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch A Peasant Family On A Path Along A Waterway von Jan Willem van Borselen kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 26.650,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Willem van Borselen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Along the river Vlist im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.000,00.
