In June 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The former Kamerbeek Collection, which included the work A still life with fruits by Jan Wiegers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Wiegers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Music Hall in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The former Kamerbeek Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with fruits von Jan Wiegers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Wiegers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Music Hall im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.750,00.
